The Connecticut Elks organization has asked
us to remind members of the Connecticut state
laws regarding who must sign the guest book in the Main Bar.
Only card-carrying members in good standing can sign in a guest of their Lodge.
A spouse of a member cannot sign in a guest, unless the spouse is also a member.
Spouses, as a courtesy, do not have to sign the guest book.
The spouse of a deceased member must sign the guest book.
The name and address of each guest must be entered into the guest book.
No employee on duty during his or her working hours can sign in a guest.
Visiting members of another Lodge are required to sign in as guests.
Thank you for your help in abiding by these rules! Also remember, any member who has to be buzzed in because they are not carrying their card must sign the guest book and pay a $2 donation to the scholarship fund!
