
How to Become an Elk
We hope you’ll consider applying to become a member of the Benevolent and Protective orders of the Elks. Our organization is based on these principles: Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity; a belief in God; the spirit of American patriotism; a commitment to serve our community through our programs that demonstrate our motto, “Elks Care and Elks Share.”
Steps to become an Elk:
- Check Your Eligibility: Ensure you meet the requirements:
- Age: You must be at least 21 years old.
- Citizenship: You must be a citizen of the United States.
- Belief: You must believe in God.
- Find a Sponsor: Connect with a current member of Lodge #372 to be your proposer.
- If you don’t currently know another Elk or have a sponsor, reach out to our lodge secretary.
- Download & Complete: Download the PDF application.
- Have your sponsor fill out their section.
- Complete your portion.
- Submit Your Application:
- Drop it off at the Members’ Lounge (there is a door bell on the inner lounge entrance down the stairs).
- Or mail it to our lodge mailing address.
Your application will be forwarded to the Investigating Committee, who will call you and set up a time for you to meet with the committee for an interview and the orientation which is where you will learn more about our programs and charities. You will then be invited to Class Night which is where you’ll be initiated into our Order.
